The bay of Cabo San Lucas is nicknamed the canyon—and for good reason. Just minutes from the marina, walls drop to over 300 meters deep. Add offshore seamounts, ancient rock formations, and unexplored canyon walls, and you’ve got an ideal playground for technical training.
Your first step into decompression diving. Learn the foundational theory and skills needed for deeper, more complex dives. Certified Tec 40 divers can conduct limited decompression dives to 40 meters.

Take it to the next level. Plan and execute extended decompression dives up to 45 meters, using accelerated decompression gases like Nitrox or pure oxygen. You’ll learn more advanced skills and emergency procedures.

The Tec 50 course marks the final stage of the PADI Tec Deep Diver program. Earning this certification means you’ve proven yourself as a competent technical diver, with the skills and experience needed to reach depths of up to 50 meters / 165 feet.
You’ll build on everything you learned in Tec 40 and Tec 45, refining your techniques and adding accelerated decompression using two high-oxygen gas blends. This advanced skill significantly reduces decompression time and expands your diving possibilities for deeper, more complex environments.
Achieving Tec 50 is a serious accomplishment. It unlocks new opportunities for extended-range diving and expedition-level exploration.
